I worked at Michigan State University’s Student Counseling Center with students clients. I was a supervising psychologist at Campion Counseling Center in Santa Monica, where we helped mothers and children involved in domestic violence. I have been working in private practice since 1987.
My training and professional development areas range from psychoanalytic theory to more attachment based and brain based therapies, such as Somatic Psychotherapy and EMDR.I have training in parenting education, couples therapy, trauma resolution, and body psychotherapy.
I’ve led groups for Compulsive Overeaters, Women Who Love Too Much, and Creating Better Body Image. I have worked with many individuals in recovery from substance abuse, and am familiar with and supportive of recovery groups.
I have supervised many beginning therapists to become effective healers, both in counseling centers and in private practice.
